Destiny 2 Xenophage - A Review
Destiny 2 Xenophage - A ReviewDestiny 2 Xenophage is a superb role-playing game from the developer of Saints Row. It's absolutely an easy game to get into, but it also offers a huge amount of potential and fun. So much that I want to give a few tips on how to make the most of the game.Firstly, you have to figure out who your god is. The universe in Destiny 2 Xenophage is very much the same as in the original game. You're in control of a god who's trying to protect the universe from some kind of 'alien invasion'. You then make missions and use a variety of abilities to fight back the invasion. My god in Destiny 2 Xenophage is called Abaddon. He's fairly straightforward. He's an over-sized robot from the future who's apparently responsible for getting the first alien invasion into the universe. To protect his home planet, he forces the aliens to come to the present. You do battle with these 'aliens' all over the universe using your powerful robotic arm to destroy their ships. As you can see, this universe really is like the one in which Saints Row took place - the only difference is that everything is a lot bigger and more important. Like Saints Row, you've got to win the battles to try and restore balance, as well as find ways to stop the alien invasion from happening in the first place. It's also worth noting that Abaddon's not just a 'god' who's trying to 'protect' humanity from aliens. In addition to the standard enemies you encounter, he also has a few up and coming cybernetically enhanced warriors called 'modoids' - giving him a whole lot more diversity in how he attacks his enemies. The one thing you should be careful about is that you never reach the end of the game and realise that everything you've done wasn't enough to stop the aliens. I think the game tries to tackle this by ending the game in a way where your character in the past dies. You're not just losing the game; you're losing a chunk of your history. But the bad ending didn't happen to me - I play ed the game a few times to test this theory and found that my history didn't change! You can also use the Cosmic Action Button to perform actions in Destiny 2 Xenophage, which in effect allows you to choose missions for your character, do things they couldn't do in the normal game. If you want to get a little more advanced, you can hack enemies with your robotic arm and go into battle with them - a truly wonderful feature that only the best games can offer. This is a fantastic game that will keep you entertained for quite a while. There are a lot of characters to unlock, plenty of levels to beat and lots of enemies to kill. A terrific game that I highly recommend for those who want to try out the action and RPG combination that Halo: Reach only let us see for so long.
